Job Description

Position Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Linux Engineer to join a leading global hedge fund. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-performance Linux infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving automation and optimization initiatives.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement high-performance Linux systems, leveraging expertise in CentOS and Rocky Linux.
  • Collaborate with business partners, application owners, and vendors to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, Ruby, and Bash.
  • Optimize Linux server infrastructure, workflows, and processes to ensure exceptional service performance.
  • Establish and launch new colocation sites globally, working closely with stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working with Linux in a large complex or niche environment.
  • Expertise in server management, low latency network interfaces, and kernel bypass.
  • Strong understanding of system hardware, OS tuning, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Experience with build and configuration management tools, such as Chef or Ansible.
  • Knowledge of observability tools, including Grafana and Prometheus.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a proactive and resourceful approach.
  • Good understanding of trading venues and financial markets.
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
