Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will oversee the annual professional work required for various accounts, ensuring compliance with internal, client, and legislative deadlines.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Managing a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring timely updates to their accounts and tax matters.
- Representing the firm at networking events and functions.
- Serving as the primary contact for your client portfolio.
- Supporting junior staff in their professional growth.
- Collaborating with the tax team and other specialists as needed.
- Assisting clients with tax planning strategies.
- Participating in continuous professional development courses to stay informed on tax and financial regulations.
- Ensuring adherence to the firm's standard processes in account production and maintaining technical standards.
- Engaging with potential clients to foster new relationships.
Experience & Skills Required:
- Proven experience in preparing private company accounts and understanding disclosure requirements.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as IRIS, Xero, and Quickbooks is advantageous.
- Ability to prepare accounts for sole traders and partnerships, along with a basic understanding of relevant tax legislation.
- Experience in producing monthly and quarterly management accounts for clients in a timely manner.
- Strong client relationship management skills with effective communication abilities.
