We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Package Engineer to become a vital part of our Natural Resources, Nuclear, and Networks division.

Position Type: Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part-time options are available.

Key Responsibilities

As an Electrical Package Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our Natural Resources, Nuclear, and Networks sector. Reporting directly to the Electrical Lead, your primary focus will be on managing operational resources (including personnel and physical assets) to ensure project execution is conducted safely, within deadlines, and meets quality standards. You will oversee design, procurement, financial management, and site activities related to electrical components.

Your daily tasks will include:

  • Delivering electrical engineering expertise while identifying client requirements and facilitating the engineering design solutions for capital water projects.
  • Collaborating with the Supply Chain to procure necessary materials and assist contractors during the handover and commissioning phases.
  • Accurately documenting all labor, equipment, materials, and supply chain resources.
  • Supporting the application and monitoring of Business Assurance Systems (BAS) policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

This Electrical Package Engineer position is ideal for candidates who:

  • Possess an industry-relevant electrical HNC or B.Eng, with experience in a process-driven sector, such as Wastewater Treatment or similar fields.
  • Have knowledge of motor control centers, including variable speed systems at 690V and 420V, along with an understanding of switchgear design.
  • Are familiar with electrical distribution power engineering and switchgear operations from 11kV and below, including fault level calculations and protection mechanisms.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of control and instrumentation cable installation and can interpret electrical designs to ensure compliance with approved specifications.
