About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor to join our Engineering team at A&P Falmouth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of Mechanical Fitters and Machinists, ensuring that all work is performed to ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, productivity, and safety, preparing written risk assessments and identifying requirements for the safe completion of work.
  • Work closely with Project/Ship Managers, ship's staff, sub-contractors, and other Supervisors to monitor workflow, allocate tasks, and ensure optimal use of resources and materials.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, monitoring their implementation and providing training and support to team members as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • A qualified engineer with experience working in the shipbuilding/repair, marine industry, or a similar heavy industrial environment.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand technical drawings.
  • Leadership experience, with a proven track record of supervising teams and achieving results.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to ensuring health and safety.
  • Ability to work overtime when required.
