About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our Radiotherapy team as a Receptionist/General Administrator. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, providing administrative support to our team and ensuring the smooth delivery of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, responding to queries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including patient information, appointments, and correspondence.
  • Coordinate and schedule appointments, procedures, and other activities, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing delays.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, patients, and external partners, promoting a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of administrative processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with Trust policies and procedures.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • Good general education, including GCSE English grade 'C' or above, or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in a role combining administration and working with the public, preferably in the NHS or similar.
  • Knowledge/experience of computer systems, including proficiency in the use of Windows-based applications.
  • Excellent customer care skills, including ability to use judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience of prioritizing own workload in a highly pressured working environment.
  • Knowledge of patient confidentiality and the Data Protection Act.
