Your Responsibilities as a Cost Estimation Assistant:
  • Assist Estimation Team: Help in the preparation of precise and detailed cost estimates.
  • Documentation Review: Examine blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
  • Team Collaboration: Engage with various departments and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate with clients during the initial engagement phase, providing guidance on compliance and project specifications.

Key Duties:
  • Foster strong working relationships with the Estimating Team.
  • Prepare budget estimates for construction initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary contact for the estimating team.
  • Assist in tender submissions and address cost discrepancies.
  • Organize meetings with clients, project teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor construction activities and research pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure project expenditures align with forecasts and escalate concerns to the Estimating Manager.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • At least 6 months of experience in estimating or construction projects, preferably in passive fireproofing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
