About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Costing Supervisor to join our team at Connect Plus Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient recovery of costs for network repairs caused by responsible parties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all costs are accurately accounted for and raise invoices that reflect the repair undertaken.
  • Liaise with commercial, finance, and depot teams to ensure accurate information is passed.
  • Map costs to the correct incident and ensure precise invoicing is recognized.
  • Work with the Commercial team and subcontractors to understand external charges and raise queries when necessary.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Be the expert in Green Claims and ensure all questions can be effectively answered.
  • Lead the settlement of claims and build effective working relationships with loss adjusters.
  • Work with depots to understand the repair and circumstances behind each incident.
  • Be the lead contact for all GC-related questions and identify any major incidents.
  • Assist with budgetary responsibility and guide the team to ensure targets are continually met.
  • Cover management when absent and take a lead with the team.
  • Respond to queries regarding settlement and invoicing in a timely manner.
  • Work to achieve targets and objectives set by the Head of Claims.
  • Comply with finance processes, policies, controls, and regulatory framework.
  • Ensure correct practice of document storage and keep all invoices and backup correctly.
  • Put forward improvement proposals where appropriate.
  • Assist other projects with claim recoveries.
  • Assist with red claims.
  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks as instructed by line manager.
Requirements
  • Experience of working in a credit control, administration, or claims management environment, preferably within the highways services or insurance sector.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer and administrative skills.
  • Understanding of the practice of the loss adjuster and Loss Adjuster Certification (desirable).

  • Experience in finance and/or an insurance work environment.
Desirable
  • Ideal experience of understanding claims and the repairs with a proven track record of correct invoicing within a fast-paced multi-client Accounts receivable department.
  • Ideal proven credit control experience with a potential to lead and exceed.
  • Ideal experience of working in the construction or maintenance sector.
Systems
  • MS Office, Sharepoint, general PC computing.
