Algorithm Developer

Certain Advantage is seeking a skilled Algorithm Specialist to join our Guidance, Control & Navigation (GCN) team.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will support studies managing the complex performance trades between software and hardware, and will be responsible for algorithm proving activities. This will involve developing algorithms for autopilots, control systems, mid-course guidance, navigation, homing guidance, data fusion, artificial intelligence, and mission planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development of algorithms for defence products
- Manage the performance trades between software and hardware
- Contribute to algorithm proving activities
- Develop algorithms for a range of capabilities, including autopilots, control systems, and data fusion
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a background in Simulation and Modelling, Guidance Engineer, Control Engineer, Navigation Engineer, or Data Fusion Engineer. They will also have experience working in a defence-related field and be familiar with the development of algorithms for defence products.
What We Offer:
Certain Advantage offers a competitive hourly rate of £75ph and the opportunity to work on a wide range of defence products. The role is based in either Bristol or Stevenage, and can be worked on a 4-day week basis (Monday to Thursday).
