Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of pneumatic and electro-pneumatic valves used on Commercial Vehicle Braking Systems. As a Product Engineer Specialist, you will be responsible for leading engineering activities related to the development of pneumatic and electro-pneumatic brake control valves used in Medium and Heavy-Duty Commercial Vehicles EBS (Electronic Braking Systems).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead engineering activities related to the development of pneumatic and electro-pneumatic brake control valves used in Medium and Heavy-Duty Commercial Vehicles EBS (Electronic Braking Systems).
  • Lead design activities directing work of designers and less experienced engineers.
  • Lead DFMEA and DVP&R activity.
  • Support systems engineering group in creation of air/mass-flow analysis.
  • Work closely with SW Controls and Systems engineering teams to ensure products are designed to meet required specifications.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics engineering, or any related engineering field. Master's Degree in Engineering is highly desired.
  • 7+ years of working experience with Pneumatic Braking Systems used in Medium and Heavy-Duty Commercial Vehicles
  • 5+ years of experience designing pneumatic and/or electro-pneumatic valves for Braking Controls
  • Good understanding of braking system performance and its influence in vehicle dynamics behavior.
  • Experience with braking systems vehicle testing activities on test tracks/proving grounds (ABS, ASR, ESC, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience with vehicle network topology (CAN, LIN, ethernet, etc.) and E&E architecture is a plus.
