About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Developer to join our Platform team at Proofpoint. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure tooling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of cloud infrastructure tooling and work with our engineering teams to adopt these tools.
  • Help execute our goal of 'everything as code' and GitOps.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of cloud-based solutions.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure components.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improvement in our cloud infrastructure.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating the adoption of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices within software development life cycles (SDLC).
  • Proven understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and active involvement in contributing to IaC initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Knowledgeable in developing and utilizing observability systems for comprehensive telemetry, tracing, and anomaly detection.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language and a keen willingness to engage with and work in diverse programming languages.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with GoLang, Python, Kubernetes, Harness, Terraform, and Cloudbees would be beneficial for this role.
