Cloud Security Engineer

At Divvy Cloud Corp., we're seeking a highly motivated Cloud Security Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Security Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the security, reliability, and availability of our cloud-based platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain internal automation to improve the efficiency, reliability, and security of microservice operations and deployments.
  2. Maintain and improve production-facing infrastructure, including Kubernetes and Cassandra.
  3. Develop new ways to improve the security of customer data following the least access principle.
  4. Educate and mentor fellow engineers on internal tooling and AWS architecture.
  5. Help establish, build, and maintain standards and best-practices for operationalizing the Insight Platform, running inside the AWS cloud.
  6. Participate in sustainable on-call incident response followed by blameless postmortems.
  7. Automate infrastructure through Terraform, Ansible, Podman, and Kubernetes.

Requirements:

  1. 5+ years of experience scaling SaaS services and infrastructure.
  2. Goal-driven, positive attitude with strong communication skills.
  3. Proficient in AWS services, including EC2, RDS, EMR, VPC networking, S3, etc.
  4. Comfortable with one or more of: Python, Ruby, Java, Groovy, Bash.
  5. Working knowledge with one or more of: Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Podman.
  6. Familiar with Istio, Karpenter, Kong, Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Git.
  7. Linux systems experience.
  8. Passionate about developer experiences.
