Overall Job PurposeAs a Business Development Executive, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a team recognized for its friendly and energetic environment. We are looking for an individual with strong analytical abilities, exceptional organizational skills, and a genuine curiosity to make significant contributions. This role offers a fantastic pathway for those aspiring to advance into positions such as National Account Manager.
In this role, you will focus on two essential functions: assisting our Sales team in achieving outstanding customer satisfaction and leveraging data insights to identify new business development and sales opportunities. You will also manage a select portfolio of existing clients, enhancing your relationship management capabilities while collaborating closely with valued customers to foster business growth. Additionally, you will provide administrative support to our National Account Managers and larger clients, playing a vital role in our organization's overall success.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee a dedicated group of customers, manage incoming inquiries, process orders, and serve as the primary contact for new clients to drive sales.
- Analyze various data sources to:
- Identify and proactively reach out to new business and sales leads.
- Extract and recognize potential opportunities.
- Spot avenues for sales growth.
- Identify inactive customers and generate leads for new business.
- Gather valuable category insights.
- Define and convert a pipeline of opportunities to meet sales growth targets and KPIs.
- Assist with inventory planning.
- Provide proactive support to National Account Managers, Senior Planning Manager, and Sales Manager, including event coordination, mailouts, competitive market analysis, and loan set management.
- Respond to and prioritize inquiries from our direct ecommerce platforms.
- Engage with internal stakeholders, acting as a liaison between Divisional Sales and Sales Operations to ensure effective communication and efficient order fulfillment.
- Stay informed on industry trends and new product features to maintain a competitive edge and promote continuous improvement. Regularly report to Senior Management with insights, updates on progress, and future recommendations.
- Effectively promote Casio brands in both virtual and physical environments while supporting trade events, including attendance as necessary.
Requirements
- ESSENTIAL: Minimum 2 years of sales/account experience.
- ESSENTIAL: This role demands excellent initiative, drive, and focus. It will be varied and rewarding for the right candidate who is eager to engage with customers daily.
- ESSENTIAL: Proven analytical skills are crucial, as you will need to provide sales analysis and reporting to track targets and historical data. Experience with database maintenance is highly beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
- A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of building effective working relationships with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail; able to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities. Self-motivated to meet deadlines and achieve goals successfully.
- Possess sound commercial awareness and a passion for understanding the business and driving tangible change.
- DESIRABLE: Sales experience within consumer durable goods, stationery, or medical sectors.
- DESIRABLE: A full, clean driving license for the UK may be required for customer visits and trade show attendance.
- DESIRABLE: Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work effectively under pressure.
- DESIRABLE: A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify gaps in processes and suggest efficiencies.
- Proficient in using Office 365, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Prior experience with CRM tools or dashboards, such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or PowerBI, is highly desirable.
