Key Responsibilities- Direct and manage the application of specific project controls methods, techniques, and tools to ensure effective project delivery.
- Lead and manage a team of professionals delivering project controls services, focusing on staff development and growth.
- Evaluate trends and communicate analysis and corrective measures effectively in a complex project environment.
- Apply project controls methods, techniques, and tools to drive business growth and improve project outcomes.
- Develop and maintain good working knowledge of EVM and project controls methodologies.
- Advise on complex requirements and communicate analysis and corrective measures effectively.
- Manage project controls delivery of medium/high complexity projects/programmes.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary teams and lead the creation of plans or analysis of trends.
- Manage assistant managers & managers where required by the scale of the project.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (e.g. MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).
- Experience of working on construction projects and/or consultancy.
- Experience of delivering effective PMO and project controls frameworks/strategies.
- Good knowledge of PMO and project controls tools, techniques, and software (e.g. MS Office, Power BI, Aconex, Primavera P6, RiskHive).
- An interest in data analytics.
- Knowledge of PMO and project controls service delivery in one or more sectors (e.g. rail, highways, nuclear, public sector, hospitals).
- Effective networking skills.
- Experience supporting the delivery of PMO and project controls services.
- APM planning and project controls (PPC) foundation and practitioner certification.
