About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Operations Specialist to join our Client Tax Operations Utility team at JP Morgan Chase Bank, National Association. As a Tax Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in maximizing the client experience and ensuring compliance with tax regulations globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validate Tax Documents: Verify tax documents and certificates received in accordance with JPMorgan and market level policies.
  • Client Account Management: Open client accounts in JP Morgan tax system in partnership with sub-custodian network.
  • Trade Settlement Instructions: Set client trade settlement instructions and monitor client asset movements to the appropriate tax rate accounts.
  • Tax Certificate Lodging: Lodge tax certificates and declarations with sub-custodians and depositories globally to facilitate tax relief.
  • Client Reviews: Perform regular reviews of clients to ensure they are receiving the appropriate tax treatment in each global market.
  • Status Updates: Provide status updates supporting market account openings and client fund launches, ensuring regular metrics and milestones are provided.
  • Market Documentation: Ensure accurate completion of market documentation with market naming conventions, obtain sign-off in line with the JP Morgan & Agent Policy. Arrange for legalization where required.
  • Tax Change Monitoring: Monitor and maintain changes for a client based on notification of tax changes.
  • Relationship Building: Build relationships with all key contacts both internal & external.
  • MIS Metrics: Own specific MIS metrics and will be responsible for reporting to management team on a weekly basis.
