Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Nights - Food

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our manufacturing plant in West Bromwich. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities by performing routine and emergency repairs, conducting inspections, and collaborating with other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machinery and equipment to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  3. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure seamless operations.
  4. Develop and implement maintenance procedures to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  5. Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and prevent equipment failures.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  2. Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  3. Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and technical manuals.
  4. Experience with logic controllers and other automation systems.
  5. Welding experience is an advantage.
  6. Ability to supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians.
  7. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  8. Excellent attention to detail and customer service-oriented mindset.
