Female Personal Assistant to Adult

About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Personal Care Assistant to support an individual with front temporal dementia in their daily life. The successful candidate will provide assistance with personal care, household duties, and social activities, ensuring the individual's safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare meals and snacks, and assist with light household duties
- Accompany the individual on outings and social activities, such as walking and visiting coffee shops
- Provide emotional support and companionship
Requirements
- Reliable and punctual with a flexible approach to work
- Able to respect the individual's and family's privacy and confidentiality
- Flexible and adaptable to meet the individual's needs
- Able to support the individual to maintain and develop relationships with friends and family
Desirable Qualities
- Emotionally intelligent with the ability to pick up on non-verbal communication
- Previous experience of working with people with dementia or similar conditions
- Full driving license and access to a car with business insurance
- Enjoys music and has a good sense of humor
Working Hours
- 20 hours per week, broken down into shifts
- Shifts may include Tuesday 8am-6pm, Wednesday 8am-10am and 2pm-6:30pm, and Thursday 3pm-6:30pm
Rate of Pay
£12.55 per hour
