About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and punctual Female Personal Assistant to support an adult with frontotemporal dementia in their daily life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the individual's safety and well-being within their home
  • Support the individual out in the community
  • Ensure the home is secure when the individual goes out
  • Provide meals and drinks throughout the day
  • Assist with light household duties
Requirements
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Able to respect the individual's and family's privacy and confidentiality
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet the individual's needs
  • Able to support the individual to maintain and develop relationships with friends and family
  • Be able to report any changing conditions or incidents relating to the individual's condition to their husband or family
Desirable Qualities
  • Emotionally intelligent, able to pick up on non-verbal communication
  • Previous experience of working with people with dementia or similar conditions
  • Full driving licence and access to a car with business insurance
  • Enjoys music
  • Patient
  • Good sense of humour
Working Hours

20 hours a week, broken down into:

  • Tuesday: 8am to 6pm
  • Wednesday: 8am to 10am and 2pm to 6:30pm
  • Thursday: 3pm to 6:30pm
Rate of Pay

£12.55 per hour
