Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst Assistant Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be a key member of the accounting function, reporting directly to the Financial Controller.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist in the production of monthly management accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Complete weekly and monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure all balances are known and correct.
  • Manage the ledger, including monthly payroll, and reconcile off-sales documents daily.
  • Verify sales commissions, update daily estimates versus actuals, and reconcile bonus debt.
  • Process EMAC statements, reconcile eBay, Shopify, and Amazon accounts, and optimize systems for efficient use.
  • Supervise the purchase ledger, ensuring timely invoice processing and no debit balances.
  • Run monthly supplier BACS and supervise the sales ledger to collect debts.
  • Hold weekly debtors meetings with managers and communicate effectively with department managers on financial matters.
  • Prepare daily cash flow forecasts and cover weekly forecasts in the absence of the Financial Controller.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the motor industry.
  • AAT qualified or QBE with sound accounting skills and experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across all levels of a business.
