Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst Assistant Accountant to join our team. As a key member of the accounting function, you will report directly to the Financial Controller and assist in the day-to-day running of the Accounts Department.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in the production of the monthly management accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
- Complete weekly and monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure all balances are known and correct.
- End-to-end ledger management, including monthly payroll.
- Reconcile off-sales DOC daily.
- Check and verify sales commissions.
- Update daily estimates vs. actuals.
- Bonus debt reconciliation and chasing up any outstanding bonus and putting query forms in if required.
- Post and allocate bonus debts.
- Process EMAC statements.
- Reconcile eBay, Shopify, and Amazon accounts.
- Optimize the systems in place to ensure efficient use.
- Supervise the Purchase ledger and ensure all invoices are processed in a timely manner and there are no debit balances.
- Monthly Suppliers BACS Run.
- Supervise the sales ledger and ensure all debts are collected.
- Hold weekly debtors meetings with managers.
- Communicate effectively with department managers and assist them with any financial matters required.
- Daily cash flow forecast.
- Cover weekly forecast in the absence of the Financial Controller.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Experience within the motor industry.
- AAT Qualified or QBE.
- Sound accounting skills and experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively across all levels of a business.
