About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Manager to join our team at Avove Limited. As a CAD Manager, you will play a critical role in managing and developing our CAD capability, providing guidance and advice on all CAD and BIM related matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop our CAD capability, ensuring that our team has the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Support resource management of the CAD team, developing internal CAD standards and ways of working for use within the business.
  • Manage the technical quality of the CAD team output, ensuring that all projects meet the required standards.
  • Provide guidance on best methods and practices to meet technical and project requirements, working closely with the Design Manager and project Design Leads.
  • Support the Design Manager and project Design Leads in undertaking a wide range of design-related tasks, including CAD design and modeling activities.
  • Train our teams on CAD matters, including leading our CAD working group and providing technical support as needed.
  • Assist with the production of project documentation and reports, ensuring that all deliverables meet the required standards.
  • Where required, assess tender and project requirements from a CAD perspective, preparing fee estimates and contributing to the business development process.
  • Contribute to the business development process, producing technical content for PQQs and tenders, and working closely with the sales team to identify new business opportunities.
  • Computer literate and conversant with Autodesk Civil 2D, associated 3rd party packages, and MS Office suite.
  • Basic project management understanding in a multi-disciplinary project environment.
  • Experience in managing CAD standards and technical outputs for multiple team members.
  • Understanding of civil design activities in a multi-disciplinary project environment.
  • Conversant with Autodesk Civil 3D, Navisworks, and Revit.
