Ultra PCS is experiencing a period of significant innovation and growth within the Military Land Vehicle sector (UK & RoW). We have developed several unique product offerings for Vehicle Electronic Architectures, driving the need for a dedicated Business Development Manager to join our team.

This role will be instrumental in driving sales and business development activities for our land systems product line. You will lead the pursuit of UK and International business development programs from initial identification through bid submission and order receipt.

A key aspect of this position is cultivating strong customer relationships to identify, shape, and pursue new opportunities. This includes authoring compelling capture strategies and customer proposals aligned with our business unit's growth targets.

Internally, you will be responsible for developing robust business cases to support new opportunity development and briefing stakeholders on future pipeline progress. You will also play a crucial role in driving bid preparation and sign-off prior to delivery to customers.

This customer-facing role requires a deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to translate those insights into product development roadmaps. Your leadership in bids will ultimately position Ultra PCS as a leading player in this dynamic market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with customers across relevant markets, ensuring alignment with strategic growth plans.
  • Implement a proactive contact plan for regular customer visits to understand their challenges and promote Ultra's offerings.
  • Actively engage in trade shows, conferences, and exhibitions to enhance brand visibility and generate new business leads.
  • Identify and pursue potential sales opportunities for Ultra PCS Land Systems Products.
  • Maintain comprehensive capture and communication plans for all major opportunities.
  • Validate the wider business case for products when assessing future opportunities.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary bid teams in preparing and submitting high-quality, winning bids.
  • Contribute to the development of an annual orders forecast and ensure delivery aligns with established targets.
  • Provide valuable customer feedback and direction to inform the ten-year strategic plan.
  • Influence Research & Development funding allocation for new product development aligned with market needs.
