Job Title: Locum Consultant in Anaesthesia

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant in Anaesthesia to join our team at Glenfield Hospital.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Consultant Anaesthetist to provide high-quality anaesthetic care to our patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing anaesthetic services, including preoperative assessment and postoperative care, and will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality anaesthetic care to patients, including preoperative assessment and postoperative care.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Participate in the Consultant Anaesthetist non-resident on-call rota and weekend resident rota.
  • Support the Consultant-delivered Perioperative Medicine Service.
  • Work flexibly to support the workload and cover for colleagues' annual leave and other authorised absences.
Person Specification:

We are looking for a Consultant Anaesthetist who has:

  • Full GMC registration.
  • MB BS or Equivalent.
  • Fully Accredited for Higher Specialist Training or will be eligible for inclusion on the Specialist Register within 6 months of the interview date.
