We seek Mandarin linguists who can go beyond mere translation and transcription. With your proficiency in Mandarin, you will identify subtleties and extract critical information from both spoken and written materials. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will actively participate in directing projects and advancing investigations. In addition, you will leverage your language and technical skills to analyze information gathered from various digital communication sources. Collaborating with a diverse team of experts, you will apply analytical skills to construct an accurate intelligence picture, helping to shape government policy and advance operations.

Candidate Profile
No prior experience or qualifications are necessary to become a Mandarin Language Analyst; however, you should possess strong active and passive language skills, excellent written English, and a solid understanding of Chinese culture, history, and politics. A genuine passion for the language and proficiency at a C1 level or higher is essential.

At this level, you should be able to:

  • Comprehend a wide range of complex texts and conversations.
  • Articulate ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Utilize the language in social, academic, or professional contexts.
  • Produce well-structured and detailed writings on intricate topics.
