About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mandarin Language Specialist to join our team at MI5. As a Language Coach for Mandarin, you will work on a flexible basis to bring your language and cultural expertise to our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide language training and support to less experienced Language Specialists
  • Create training and assessment materials, and translate and transcribe materials to develop our language technology tools
  • Work as part of a friendly, supportive and thriving community of Language Specialists who share your passion for Mandarin
  • Take on individual projects combined with training other linguists, so there'll be plenty of interaction and knowledge-sharing

Requirements:

  • Speak and write Mandarin to a minimum of good C1 Level in CEFR terms, but ideally C2 level
  • Be fluent in English
  • Have some experience of teaching, mentoring or training in a language-based environment
  • Be supportive and encouraging of others and bring a genuine passion for language to the role
  • Have a good eye for detail and be able to give timely and targeted feedback to support your colleagues' ongoing language development

What We Offer:
