Advanced Teaching Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with and oversee individual students and groups under the guidance of teaching and senior staff, including lesson preparation, planning, delivery, and assessment, ensuring all pupils have access to learning and support in classroom management and behavioral strategies.
· Assume the role of a keyworker to assist in the reintegration of students who have experienced long-term or persistent absences.
· Work in partnership with the attendance team and senior leadership to establish a clear reintegration plan with measurable outcomes.
· Serve as the liaison between educators, students, and families to mitigate the impact of absence on future attendance.
· Manage other teaching assistants, including their deployment and performance evaluation.
· Set targets for student progress.

All pay rates mentioned will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the potential for a permanent role in the future.
