Materials Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Engineer to join our team in the energy industry. As a Materials Engineer, you will be responsible for solving complex materials challenges and developing innovative solutions to improve the lifetime of operating nuclear power plants.
About the Role:- Assess materials degradation risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with designers and manufacturers to solve problems and implement solutions in materials compatibility and fabrication.
- Support the UK Submarine and Nuclear New Build programmes, or enable one of many renewable energy projects across a growing carbon net zero portfolio.
- A degree in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Corrosion, or other relevant mechanical engineering disciplines.
- Demonstrable work experience in solving materials, manufacturing, welding, and corrosion challenges in the nuclear, conventional power, or offshore industries.
- Demonstrable work experience in writing accurate, detailed, and concise technical reports relevant to the role.
