Job Title: Controls Engineer I

Tait is seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer I to join our team. As a Controls Engineer I, you will be responsible for developing and engineering controls solutions for projects, ensuring that Tait's solutions are engineered to the highest levels of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop control systems for projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that systems meet performance and safety requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test reports.
  • Conduct safety analysis and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and implement custom PLC projects, HMIs, and software configurations as required.
  • Research and evaluate new products and solutions to improve control system performance and efficiency.
  • Commission and test installed systems to ensure correct performance and satisfy client requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical theatre.
  • 1+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency in both theory and hands-on skills, with a focus on control systems and automation.
  • Experience with large, distributed control systems and closed-loop motion control.
  • Familiarity with Beckhoff and Siemens control hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of TAIT Navigator software.
