About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Site Manager to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a key member of our site operations team, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Site Manager in the day-to-day control of the site, ensuring that all operations are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
- Manage and deliver project works, including the coordination of sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Ensure that all site paperwork is maintained and that the site is kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Participate in safety initiatives and ensure that all site personnel are aware of and comply with safety procedures.
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of construction projects, including quality, time, procurement, and contractors.
- Lead by example and manage sub-contractors, including monitoring of contractor attendance and progress.
- Follow Vistry site procedures and maintain all daily, weekly, and monthly site paperwork as required.
- Involved with the management of internal/external design teams/consultants to meet project deadlines.
- Produces and regularly reviews short-term programmes in line with the overall project programme.
- Ensure that detailed plans are available commensurate with the overall project plan.
- Appreciate the commercial implications and drivers within the construction process and incorporate these into decision making.
- Liaise with Contract Manager to ensure that they are fully aware of project progress and notified of all financial, specification, and time risks.
