We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Emcor UK. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees, customers, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective health and safety policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety best practices and procedures.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety initiatives and programs.
- Develop and maintain accurate records and reports on health and safety performance and compliance.
- Stay up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements and industry standards, and ensure that our organization is compliant.
- Proven experience in health and safety management, preferably in a facilities management or construction industry setting.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
- Professional certification in health and safety, such as NEBOSH or IOSH.
