Situated within expansive, well-maintained grounds, this institution provides specialized education for students aged 4 to 19 with autism-related learning challenges and has achieved recognition as an Advanced Autism Accreditation provider by the National Autistic Society.

The school prides itself on creating a nurturing atmosphere, featuring small therapeutic classrooms and a dynamic, engaging curriculum that collectively ensures students receive the support necessary to thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.

Many students may have faced difficulties in traditional educational settings, resulting in disruptions to their learning, challenges with mental health, and diminished self-esteem. As a Speech and Language Therapist, your role will involve assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic strategies that assist students and their families in improving their communication abilities and rekindling their enthusiasm for learning.

This position is permanent and part-time, operating only during school terms – 2 days per week, across 39 weeks each year.

Candidate Requirements:

  • (Essential) Registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner in Speech and Language Therapy
  • (Desirable) Demonstrated experience and professional growth within mental health services for children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders (ASC, ADHD, learning disabilities), ideally including leadership roles and service enhancement
  • (Desirable) Membership in relevant professional organizations
