POSITION SUMMARY

Following the recent acquisition of ICM Partners, CAA has broadened its publishing and book-to-screen operations in London. Our dynamic and expanding department is dedicated to selling publication and media rights across various languages, territories, and formats, aiming to establish and nurture literary careers on a global scale. We collaborate with internationally recognized and bestselling authors in both fiction and non-fiction.

We are in search of a meticulous and proactive Assistant to join our team, primarily to provide support to two of our Agents. This role involves working with authors, journalists, publications, and life rights holders associated with notable films and television series.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a busy schedule and contacts, including travel arrangements, scheduling, and expense tracking.
  • Log deals on behalf of the Literary Agents.
  • Oversee multiple databases related to publications and rights.
  • Coordinate with our Business Affairs and Accounts teams to monitor payments and contracts, and generate invoices.
  • Review and provide feedback on new materials and submissions, while managing incoming submissions.
  • Address inquiries regarding rights.
  • Serve as the primary contact for client inquiries via phone and email.
  • Handle phone calls and emails for the Agents.
  • Draft correspondence as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for literature, film, and television, with a desire to advance a career in publishing or the film and television sectors.
  • An interest in various media forms, including podcasts and visual arts, with the ability to recognize emerging trends.
  • Demonstrated administrative experience.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Capability to take ownership of tasks and prioritize effectively to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with Outlook and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Additional language proficiency is a plus but not mandatory.
