Job Summary

Merje is seeking an experienced Head of Compliance to lead and play a crucial role in ensuring regulatory adherence and maintaining the highest standards of compliance for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of compliance policies and procedures to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
  • Lead and manage the compliance team to foster a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and compliance audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide expert advice on regulatory matters to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and manage relationships with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in a senior compliance role within a financial services environment, preferably in Consumer Lending.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and legislation, including the FCA.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to lead and motivate the compliance team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in implementing effective compliance programs and ensuring regulatory adherence.
