The Operations Manager is responsible for leading the Operations team to make informed decisions that positively impact both personnel and the business unit. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to ensure a safe working environment and execute tasks flawlessly.
Key Responsibilities- Safety Management
- Ensure that safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to.
- Communicate and collaborate with regional and global peers to implement global and regional policies and best practices.
- Oversee the usage of asset and maintenance management systems.
- Operations Oversight
- Participate in Project and Engineering meetings as required.
- Delegate attendance when needed.
- Understand technical work instructions and engineering drawings.
- Reporting and Compliance
- Manage the reporting of Non-conformances and cost of poor quality (COPQ).
- Assist with all technical data for jobs.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Run morning Operations toolbox talks.
- Undertake specific projects as instructed by Supervisors/Management.
- Ensure the readiness and competency of all offshore and onshore technicians.
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or Management preferred.
- Experience
- Relevant Oilfield experience to include at least three (3) years of Administrative, Office or Operations Management experience.
- Skills
- Knowledge of department's policies, rules, regulations, business goals, vision, organizational structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, and values.
- Ability to establish and maintain project priorities.
This position is considered OFFICE WORK characterized as follows:
- Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night.
