About the Role
The successful night shift mechanic will be responsible for the following duties:
- To take overall responsibility for the daily operation of the engineering workshop and depot infrastructure within budgetary limits, with the aim of minimizing lost mileage and delivering service for the customer while complying with all Group Standard Operating Procedures.
- To provide leadership, development, and motivation to the staff at specific depots within the Operating Company.
- To effectively manage the workforce with the support of supervisory teams to achieve maximum productivity within a framework of good relations and a safe working environment.
About You
- You must possess a minimum Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent.
- You must have knowledge and experience of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) policies, vehicle maintenance, and road safety legislation.
- You will have working knowledge of DVSA legislations and categorization of defects.
- You will have proven leadership skills, which are essential.
- You will have a flexible approach to management and commuting between multi-site operations, providing cover as and when required.
