Manufacturing Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our team at Permanent Futures, a leading food manufacturer. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facility.
Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the site operations, maintaining a safe working environment, and driving a culture of continuous improvement. You will also be responsible for planning and managing activities to meet customer order, quality, and service requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and Coordinate Production Activities: Ensure that all procedures are followed and understood by the team, and that production activities are carried out efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain High-Quality Manufacturing Standards: Ensure that all equipment is in a serviceable condition, and that best manufacturing standards are maintained at all times.
- Lead and Motivate the Production Team: Manage and motivate staff to build an effective production team, and to achieve high levels of productivity and quality.
- Implement Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to processes and procedures to drive efficiency and quality.
- Ensure Compliance with Regulations: Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with recognized legal and ethical standards, and in line with specific company policy for Health and Safety, Environment, Social and Ethical responsibility.
Requirements:
- Previous Experience in Food Manufacturing: You will have previous experience of working within a food manufacturing environment, and a strong understanding of the industry.
- Production and Quality Management Experience: You will have experience of running production and quality management systems, and a strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- Leadership and Management Skills: You will have strong leadership and management skills, and be able to motivate and inspire a team to achieve high levels of productivity and quality.
