We are a recruitment agency collaborating with a renowned Global Consultancy seeking a Business Continuity Planner for a key client based in Cumbria (Hybrid).
IR35 Status: This role is classified as Inside of IR35.
Role Responsibilities:
The primary duties of the Business Continuity Planner & Resilience Advisor include:
1. Providing expert advice and guidance to enhance enterprise resilience and business continuity in compliance with governmental requirements and best practices, aligning with the strategic objectives of the organization.
2. Offering continuous support to the incident response team for operations outside of regulated sites, ensuring business priorities are met during incidents, risks, and challenges.
3. Assisting in the development and upkeep of business continuity plans, business impact assessments, disaster recovery strategies, and related documentation through collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
4. Advising functional teams on business continuity risks affecting information, facilities, reputation, and other critical assets.
5. Facilitating resilience exercises to validate business continuity arrangements and enhance organizational knowledge.
6. Supporting incident response teams in implementing lessons learned from exercises to strengthen resilience planning and ensure ongoing improvement.
Essential Qualifications:
- Professional certification in Resilience, Business Continuity, Risk Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in developing a Business Continuity program aligned with ISO22301 or a resilience program in a corporate or highly regulated setting.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to identify key stakeholders and build effective relationships to achieve business goals.
- Experience in conducting business continuity and resilience audits, inspections, and performance monitoring.
- Comprehensive understanding of enterprise resilience and business continuity best practices.
- Familiarity with standards and frameworks related to Enterprise Resilience, Business Continuity, and Emergency Management.
- Insight into the implications of enterprise resilience and business continuity within critical national infrastructure organizations.
- Experience in project management techniques and delivering business continuity programs in high-profile projects.
- Proficient in drafting procedures, reports, and providing guidance to staff.
- Skilled in delivering briefings to personnel at all organizational levels.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in the Nuclear Industry.
- Knowledge of Security Assessment Principles for the Civil Nuclear Industry and their application in resilience and business continuity.
- Experience in developing and delivering resilience and business continuity training programs.
- Understanding of cyber resilience standards within the supply chain.
- Membership in a professional institute or industry body.
- Diploma or Certificate in Business Continuity Management or Enterprise Resilience.
