About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care to patients with mental health conditions, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver effective treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and treat patients with mental health conditions in a community setting
- Undertake urgent and routine psychiatric assessments as needed
- Liaise with GPs regarding patient medical monitoring results
- Provide advice and consultation to members of the multidisciplinary team and attend regular MDT meetings
- Ensure effective and timely documentation and communication of clinical decision-making and management plans

Person Specification
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
- Relevant Higher Degree (e.g. MD, PhD, MSc) or other additional clinical qualifications
- MRCPsych or equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of gaining CCT
- Approved clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
- Approved under S12 or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
