Job Description

£80,000 - £150,000 package plus benefits, a competitive role for a skilled professional

  • Lead the full development cycle of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, from conceptualization to deployment, ensuring seamless integration with business operations.
  • Design, develop, and implement the CRM system in alignment with business needs and requirements, leveraging industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Manage and lead a team of developers and coordinate project tasks to ensure timely delivery, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting technical excellence.
  • Advertise job openings, screen candidates, and recruit a top-tier team of developers for the CRM project, utilizing effective recruitment strategies.
  • Conduct regular meetings with service providers to ensure smooth collaboration and integration of external services with the CRM system, driving innovation and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and support system enhancements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the CRM system, staying ahead of the curve.
  • Take part in code reviews, and use this as an opportunity to create a deeper understanding of best practices, promoting technical excellence.
  • Designing and updating software databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Update and maintain servers, ensuring high-performance and reliability.
  • Performing trials, testing and quality checks to ensure strong functionality and optimisation, meeting business expectations.
  • Debugging and resolving issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
  • Maintaining and supporting systems and improving the performance of existing software, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Producing user and technical documentation, ensuring clear communication and knowledge sharing.
  • Being proactive in highlighting issues to the team, promoting a culture of transparency and accountability.
  • Reviewing business requirements to understand the business needs, ensuring alignment with technical solutions.
  • Implementing technical solutions, driving business value and innovation.
  • Striving for a high level of technical quality, ensuring excellence in all aspects of the CRM system.

Key Skills & Experience required for the position include:

· At least 5 years of commercial experience using PHP (OOP), with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.

· Strong understanding of microservice architecture and design patterns, with experience in designing and implementing scalable systems.

· At least 3 years of commercial experience in or similar JavaScript framework (Angular/React), with a strong understanding of front-end development principles.

· Solid knowledge of Laravel (or other PHP frameworks), with experience in developing robust and scalable applications.

· Experience crafting REST API's, with a strong understanding of API design principles.

· HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, with experience in developing responsive and interactive user interfaces.

· Ability to write optimised complex queries and maintain MySQL databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.

· Ubuntu and Nginx/Apache server management, with experience in ensuring high-performance and reliability.

· Experience with version control (ideally GIT), with a strong understanding of collaborative development principles.

· Experience writing and maintaining appropriate documentation for each stage of the software development lifecycle, ensuring clear communication and knowledge sharing.

· Agile project management software (ideally Jira), with experience in ensuring seamless project delivery and collaboration.

· Working knowledge of Continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment (CI/CD), with experience in ensuring high-quality and efficient software delivery.
