Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Bluebolt Recruitment. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, verifying, and preparing technical design drawings and specifications for manufacture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop detailed technical design drawings and specifications using CAD software and Microsoft packages.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects to ensure timely completion and meet NPI plans.
  • Prepare manufacturing and process instructions for new products.
  • Resolve manufacturing issues and discrepancies in the early stages of product design and development.
  • Work closely with design briefs to resolve design details and prepare drawings of complex designs.
  • Coordinate drawing and drawing control activities.
  • Support the design and development of test rigs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum BEng level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related scientific subject.
  • Currently or working towards Chartered/Incorporated Engineer status and member of a Professional Engineering Institution.
  • Minimum 3 years Design Engineering experience, preferably in Automotive or Aerospace manufacturing.
  • Experience using CREO or similar 3D CAD and product lifecycle management software.
  • Design for manufacture and design for assembly experience.
  • NPI Gate review process and production readiness experience.
