Executive Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Aramark. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Service: Prepare and serve food to the highest standard, ensuring that all menu items are presented in a visually appealing and appetizing manner.
- Temperature Control: Monitor and record temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets, and serveries to ensure that food is stored and served at the correct temperature.
- Menu Production: Produce food in line with recipe sheets, ensuring that all menu items are prepared to the highest standard.
- Menu Knowledge: Have full knowledge of all menu items served, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation.
- Functions and Events: Assist with functions, hospitality, and events, ensuring that all food and beverage services are provided to the highest standard.
- Quality Service: Ensure that we deliver high-quality service to our clients, including military personnel and mess members.
- Production Management: Manage production and food levels to ensure minimal wastage and optimize food costs.
- Shift Opening and Closing: Assist in the completion of all shift opening and closing checklists, ensuring that all kitchen tasks are completed to the highest standard.
- Training and Development: Act as a trainer/coach for new team members, teaching them procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks.
- Kitchen Deep Cleans: Assist in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans, ensuring that the kitchen is maintained to the highest standard.
- Food Hygiene Certificate: Hold a Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 or be willing to work towards it on our e-learning platform.
- Qualifications: Have one of the following qualifications or equivalent: BSC (Catering), MHCIM, HND, City & Guilds 706/1 and 2, NVQ level 2 and 3.
- Knowledge and Skills: Have knowledge of health and safety, CIEH Level 2 qualification or equivalent, and a good level of spoken English.
- Security Clearance: Hold security clearance and a DBS check.
