CK Group is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Manager to join their team at a specialist chemicals manufacturing company. This is a full-time, permanent position based at the company's site near Chorley.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all phases of projects, including engineering design, procurement, planning, installation, evaluation, and commissioning.
- Create designs to solve specific issues, including creating equipment specifications and technical documentation.
- Develop project plans that include requirements, cost, and timelines, and identify and manage potential risks.
- Identify, plan, and manage required resources, including external contractors, and participate in risk assessment activities as needed.
- Analyze tasks concerning the project schedule and contribute to the verification and signing off of designs.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement activities and create and/or update engineering drawings as required.
- Proven industry experience in a mechanical project management role within the chemical manufacturing sector.
- Degree qualified in an appropriate engineering discipline, such as mechanical engineering.
- Technically proficient in mechanical design and maintenance of equipment such as agitators, reactors, and pumps.
- Good working knowledge of agitated semi-batch reactors and management systems such as Permit-to-Work, Management of Change, and Lockout Tagout.
- Ideal experience of working with a plant maintenance system and experience on a COMAH site would be advantageous.
