Job Overview

As an IT Project Manager at TVS Supply Chain Solutions, you will be responsible for leading projects related to information technology. This role requires expertise in technology-related aspects, and the skill set for IT project managers differs due to the specialized nature of information technology projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand the technical aspects of the project to effectively communicate with the development team and address technical challenges.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to technology, such as software bugs, security vulnerabilities, or integration issues.
  • Adapt to evolving technologies and manage changes effectively to ensure project success.
  • Familiarize yourself with the phases of software development, from planning and design to testing and deployment.
  • Recognize and address security concerns inherent in IT projects to protect data and systems.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders, including infrastructure, service desk, and development teams.
  • Work in iterative cycles and manage sprints effectively, as many IT projects follow agile or scrum methodologies.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to make informed decisions and incorporate relevant innovations.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience in managing enterprise-wide IT projects and successfully working with suppliers.
  • Demonstrable experience in full end-to-end project life cycle delivery.
  • Experience in waterfall and agile project delivery methodologies.
  • Ability to react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
  • Strong IT technical skills and experience with technologies running on Microsoft platforms.
  • APM, PMI, or PRINCE2 accreditation is desirable.
  • Degree in an IT-related discipline is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
