About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Scrub Nurse to join our Orthopaedics team at Springfield Hospital. As a Senior Scrub Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our surgical teams. You will work closely with our Consultant-led teams to deliver exceptional clinical outcomes and provide a supportive environment for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform the scrub role in Consultant-led surgeries, varying in complexity and specialism
- Work across a range of specialisms, including orthopaedics, hip arthroplasty, knee arthroplasty, and anterior cruciate ligaments reconstruction
- Provide high-quality patient care and support to our surgical teams
- Collaborate with our Consultant-led teams to deliver exceptional clinical outcomes
- Contribute to the development and implementation of our theatre department's policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Current NMC/HCPC registration
- Flexible and positive attitude
- A warm, considerate, and empathetic character
- Surgical First Assist Qualification (SFA) - Desirable but not essential
- Experience in orthopaedics, hip arthroplasty, knee arthroplasty, and anterior cruciate ligaments reconstruction would be an advantage
