Information Governance Specialist

We are working with a highly respected US law firm to recruit an experienced Information Governance Specialist. This London-based role offers a hybrid working arrangement and presents an opportunity to be at the forefront of developing and implementing the firm's Information Governance strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Migration and Archiving: Provide support and guidance for the migration of electronic records from shared drives to archival storage, ensuring that data integrity and metadata are maintained throughout the records' lifecycle.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess risks related to electronic record management, collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement action plans to mitigate these risks effectively.
  • Client Support and Training: Act as a subject matter expert, interfacing with practice groups and administrative departments to promote best practices in information governance. Provide training and guidance on the use of the firm's document management systems and email management.
  • Liaison with IT and Security: Work closely with IT and IT Security teams to ensure that information governance requirements are integrated into system designs and that security protocols align with industry standards and firm policies.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least four years of experience in records management, litigation support, or IT within a law firm or similar professional environment.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of information management systems such as iManage, Prosperoware, and Microsoft 365. Familiarity with archival storage, data migration methodologies, and secure file transfer protocols is required.
