Teaching Assistant Fixed Term Position

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our highly skilled SEND team at Ormiston Meadows Academy. As a teaching assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pupils with special educational needs to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide in-class support to SEND pupils, enabling them to access the curriculum and make expected progress.
- Prepare individualized and/or differentiated teaching resources under the direction of the SENCO and teaching staff.
- Liaise with parents and carers to support SEND pupils in their learning.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting emotional wellbeing and empathy for pupils.
- Model high standards of behaviour and attitude, and demonstrate excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence.
- Experience of working in a professional setting, preferably in an EYFS/KS1/KS2 environment.
- Level 2 (or above) qualifications in Maths and English, evidenced by original certificates.
- Awareness of emotional wellbeing and empathy for pupils, with the ability to respond accordingly.
- Ability to use IT to a proficient standard and work well in a team and independently.
