Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scientific Formulation Development Team Lead to join our team at CV-Library. As a key member of our formulation development team, you will be responsible for developing new cosmetic and pharmaceutical formulations, managing a small team of formulation chemists, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive projects from concept to launch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new cosmetic and pharmaceutical formulations based on project briefs
  • Manage a small team of formulation chemists, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research and development, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to drive projects from concept to launch
  • Design, plan, and execute robust formulation development activities, including experimental design, test methods, and data analysis
  • Document all research and development activities to a high standard and in a timely manner to ensure project milestones are met
  • Stay informed about industry advancements and emerging technologies, identifying potential opportunities to drive process improvements and foster innovation
  • Maintain excellent communication with the line manager and other team members, and interact and collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage, lead, and support to achieve project goals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in cosmetic or pharmaceutical sciences
  • Experience in formulation development of skincare or personal care, topical or transdermal formulations, preferably in cosmetics or pharmaceutical industries
  • Strong knowledge of cosmetic or pharmaceutical ingredients and their interactions
  • Familiarity with cosmetic, medicinal, or medical device regulations
  • Excellent report writing skills
