About the Team

The Solutions team plays a crucial role in guiding clients and associated third parties through their implementation and onboarding processes with Vitesse. Positioned within Vitesse's Commercial division, this team is essential in achieving the company's ambitious growth objectives.

This team has a diverse function, one of which involves managing and executing projects to onboard existing client loss funds—financial reserves designated for facilitating claim payments related to recognized insurance losses. Our Loss Fund Optimization service is designed to assist our insurance clients in streamlining their data, recovering cash from inactive funds, and transitioning the remaining funds to the regulated safeguarded environment provided by Vitesse.

Understanding Loss Fund Optimization

Loss fund optimization is a vital service integrated into Vitesse's core offerings. Approximately $100 million is currently inactive in legacy accounts throughout the market. Effectively deploying capital is essential in today's environment; loss fund optimization is key to achieving this for our clients. Furthermore, this process allows us to refine an insurer's end-to-end data, enabling them to fully leverage the digital transformation within the insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • As a Loss Fund Optimization Specialist, you will be tasked with delivering on the company's primary objectives, which include:
  • Supporting business development and relationship management to promote the Loss Fund Optimization (LFO) service.
  • Building and maintaining robust relationships and communication channels with Insurers, Brokers, and Third-Party Administrators. Utilize these connections to gather, analyze, and validate insurer data.
  • Carefully examine the collected data and challenge it where necessary to formulate recovery, migration, and optimization recommendations, keeping company revenue goals in mind. Document justifications for all recommended actions.
  • Oversee the project tracker and provide high-quality reporting to the Solutions Manager, enabling them to update all stakeholders and maintain project dashboards.
  • Assist Solutions Managers in executing LFO projects. Identify and escalate challenges to facilitate resolution. Participate in weekly progress meetings.
  • Timeliness in revenue generation is critical; be a collaborative team member while possessing the confidence to make independent decisions and propose solutions to avoid delays or address issues hindering progress. Escalate concerns as necessary.
  • Support the finance team with invoicing related to fund recovery fees. Manage communication with insurers regarding any invoicing inquiries.

Candidate Requirements

  • We seek a personable, diligent, and analytical candidate with at least 2 years of experience in a data-driven role, preferably within the insurance industry (London Market) or a fintech organization.
  • The ideal candidate will be organized and methodical, able to thrive under pressure while managing multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential. You should be adept at establishing, nurturing, and maintaining strong, high-value relationships.
  • A collaborative team player who can relate well to colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated proactivity and self-motivation are crucial.
  • While not mandatory, familiarity with claims payment administration and knowledge of market systems would be advantageous.
