Main Purpose:The Shift Electrician will be required to carry out PPM and reactive maintenance breakdowns, checks to anything from changing light fittings to moving sockets, to completing fire alarm / emergency light testing and remedial work to full electrical shutdowns across the hospital.
Main Accountabilities:- To service and maintain building services plant and equipment in accordance with relevant standards, frequencies, and safe working practices.
- To respond to reactive breakdowns, carry out fault finding and any necessary repairs.
- To carry out scheduled planned preventative maintenance tasks.
- To have a 'can do' approach to your work ethos.
- To be able to work within a small maintenance team, consisting of a mechanical shift engineer and a semi-skilled shift engineer (plus a full day team of engineering and support staff).
- Good all round technical ability and a working knowledge of a wide variety of electrical systems required, knowledge of building maintenance preferred, but not essential.
- Must be fully qualified in Electrical with experience of Commercial / Hospital buildings.
