We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Charge Nurse to join our Acute Medical Team at QEUH. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of qualified and unqualified staff, promoting and providing high-quality care to patients with luminal gastroenterology needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the team in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring that all staff are supervised and supported to deliver excellent care.
- Deputise for the Senior Charge Nurse as required, providing clinical guidance and professional management.
- Develop and implement plans to improve patient care, working closely with the Practice Development team.
- Ensure that all staff receive appropriate learning opportunities, promoting best practice and evidence-based care.
- Contribute to education and audit, demonstrating a commitment to personal and professional development.
Requirements:
- Substantial experience at Band 5 level within a relevant setting.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- High level of IT skills, with experience of using technology to support patient care.
- Good understanding and knowledge of policy, procedures, and national targets.
- Ability to work flexibly, including night duty and rotational shifts.
