Adult Psychiatry Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be based at the Department of Psychiatry, Stepping Hill Hospital, and will work closely with other teams and Consultants to provide high-quality mental health care for adults with severe and enduring mental health problems.
Key Duties- To provide comprehensive mental health care for adults with severe and enduring mental health problems, both inpatient and outpatient.
- To work collaboratively with other teams and Consultants to ensure coherent and high-quality mental health care for adults with severe and enduring mental health problems within the Stockport area.
- To contribute to the development of the service and attend local and divisional service development meetings.
The ideal candidate will have a medical degree, higher psychiatric training or its equivalent, and Section 12 (2) Approval under the Mental Health Act 1983 or be eligible for approval. They will also have experience of teaching and training abilities, be available to participate in an on-call rota, and have experience of writing reports for the Mental Health Review Tribunals.
